Approaching the bridge over the Peconic River. CR 105 derives its name “Cross River Drive” from this bridge.
The bridge over the Peconic River offers nice views of the surrounding marshes. Suffolk County has preserved many of these wetlands as part of Indian Island County Park.
There is no median barrier on the bridge, with only a painted traffic island to separate opposing traffic. The traffic light in the distance is for Riverside Drive.

The median ends approaching the junction with CR 43 (Northville Turnpike).
At the northern end of the CR 105 expressway, about one mile from the Long Island Sound. The road ahead is Sound Avenue.
