At the Independence Way traffic light, the first traffic light after the Jersey Freeway ends.
At the Ridge Road (Old Route 522) traffic light.
This is the location at which the proposed NJ 92 freeway will terminate at US 1 if NJ 92 is constructed. NJ 92 is not planned to go west of US 1 at this time.
At the Raymond Road traffic light.
At the CR 522 traffic light (which is also known as Promenade Blvd).
At the Wynwood Drive traffic light.
At the New Road traffic light. A "TO I-95 NORTH" sign exists just past this signal. That sign is the only remaining sign on US 1 to help some mis-guided travelers attempting to follow the real I-95. Such “TO I-95" signs used to be plentiful.
At the Sand Hills Rd / Major Rd traffic light.
At the Northumberland Way traffic light. To the right is construction for a new 4 lane highway which will connect to Old Georges Road in the Deans section of South Brunswick. The road will probably encourage additional sprawl, but it will also improve east-west access in the South Brunswick township.
At the Henderson Road traffic light.
At the Black Horse Lane traffic light. Despite what some maps say, Black Horse Lane does not connect through to US 130 because when the Northeast Corridor tracks were built, the two sides of Black Horse Lane were never re-connected.
Once we reach the Finnegans Lane traffic light, we are in North Brunswick Township. Like Black Horse Lane, Finnegans Lane does not directly connect to US 130. However, the two sides of Finnegans Lane are likely to be connected in the near future because of Finnegans Lane is 4 lanes and a bridge over the railroad tracks would bring congestion relief for east-west traffic between NJ 27 and US 130. Finnegans Lane continues east of US 130 as Davidson Mill Road, a 2 lane road that connects to CR 535 at the northeast section of South Brunswick. North of Finnegans Lane, US 1 widens into a 6-lane arterial.
