After the #7 Fairwoods development at-grade, this begins the NC 211 expressway through Pinehurst. Right now, this part of NC 211 is multiplexed with US 15/501.

#7 is to the left, #6 National Golf Course is to the right. They are both private gated residential communities.

Pinehurst Manor at-grade

Entering the traffic circle

Exiting the traffic circle, continuing on NC 211 westbound. US 15/501 went north towards Carthage.

Avienmore Drive. Only WB traffic can enter here. EB is not allowed to. This is a commonly occurance of backups entering the circle. Sometimes it stretches as far back before the Page Road signal.

Page Road signal. Doghouse signals should be provided for all points as well as constructing a new left turning lane for Page Road-Hospital bound towards NC 211.

NC 211 only allows driveways for First Health of Pinehurst hospital.

Dundee Road at-grade

Unlike the Isle of Palm Connector (SC 517) with a non-travel turn lane, there is no reason a center turn lane should be there since there are no places to turn at except at the roads mentioned here next are marked with turning lanes.

Moore Regional Drive road at-grade. Prior to First Health of Pinehurst, it was called Moore Regional Hopsital.

Rattlesnake Trail(left)/Gun Club drive signal (right). Sidewalks on the right and crosswalks at the signalized intersection are new to the village of Pinehurst. It is not a common occurance along NCDOT maintained roads to see crosswalks at intersections.

Speed limit is now 55mph. To the left is Rassie Wicker Park but NCDOT does own the right-of-way to expand to four lanes here though.

East McKenzie road(left)/Murdocksville Road(right) signal. Doghouse signal for NC 211 eastbound traffic was recently installed this year.

More development is occuring further and futher away from the village.

NC 5(Beulah Hill Church Road) signal.

Facing westbound

Facing eastbound

Main Street but also known as Beulah Hill Church Road. This leads into Taylortown.

The sign here marks that there will soon no longer be any access control to NC 211 past this sign.

Closeup of the sign

Notice the pavement change. This is the end of NC 211 expressway through Pinehurst. NC 211 continues as a 2 lane highway to Candor, Montgomery County to its western terminus at US 220A.
