Notice the pavement change. Past the welcome to Pinehurst sign greets you to the village and the beginning of the NC 211 expressway.

Main Street but also known as Beulah Hill Church Road signal. This leads into Taylortown.

Along the righthand side of NC 211 eastbound.

Pinehurst is an affluent and historic golf town hence trucks contribute to noise pollution. This is likely the reason the sign is up. Most golfers along #2 golf course would not be too pleased of trucks screwing up their game.

NC 5(Beulah Hill Church Road) signal

Murdocksville Road(left)/East McKenzie Road(right) signal

Rassie Wicker Park is on the right through the woods. NCDOT owns the right of way along NC 211 to expand to four lanes.

45mph speed limit through the rest of the expressway. Gun Club Dr(left)/Rattlesnake Trail(right) signal.

Unlike the Isle of Palms Connector (SC 517) with a non-travel center lane, there is no reason a center turn lane should be there since there are no places to turn at except at the roads mentioned here next are marked with turning lanes.

Moore Regional Dr at grade. Prior to the name change of First Health of Pinehurst, it was called Moore Regional Hospital.

Dundee Road at grade

Several neighborhood streets here. Only driveway acccess is permitted on the left for First Health of Pinehurst hospital.

Page Road signal. Doghouse signals should be provided for all points as well as a left turning lane for Page Road-Hospital Bound traffic towards NC 211.

Note the black holes on the doubleline. Plastic poles were originally there in 1999 to avoid people making U turns from the choronic daily backups approaching the circle. The NO LEFT TURN sign indicates the at-grade for Avienmore Drive.

A look of Avienmore as its only constructed for right turns only

Today was a good day to film this highway since the wait to the circle is minimal. It can get as bad as backing up before the Page Road signal.

Exiting the circle. A multiplex exists for NC 211 which includes US 15/501. This lasts until after the US 1 multiplex in the "lower" Aberdeen part of town. Pinehurst Manor at-grade.

To the right is #7 Fairwoods and the left is #6 National Golf Course. They are both private gated residential communities.

At-grade for #7.

NC 211/US 15-501 continues as a 5-lane arterial then turns into a boulevard near Lowes Hardware. One expressway segment exists down in Blaenboro, Bladen County for NC 211 down in the southeastern part of the state.
