Before the at-grade at MD 565, the highway widens to a 4-lane divided expressway.
Not long after the highway divides, there is a sign saying “lane ends, merge left.” Since US 50 is only 4 lanes at this point, MD 322 must merge down to 2-lanes again when entering US 50.
